Cacti Family

I drew this while Laura and I were on vacation in Chandler, Arizona. While I was there I enjoyed a good hike through the Superstition Wilderness where there are tons of beautiful, huge saguaro cacti. Birds peck holes into these cacti and nest in them and I thought they look they have faces, so it inspired me to draw this. Papa (Michael), Mama (Kristin), and Baby (Maddox).

I doodled during the flight home, but blogger is sucking right now and can't post that picture and I'm way tired right now, so I'll post it later.

I know this is random and has nothing to do with anything, but I love the game Twinsen's Odyssey or Little Big Adventure 2. The funny thing is I'VE NEVER EVEN PLAYED IT! Ugly Tie

I remember when I used to collect ugly ties for fun. In the Philippines you could find all sorts of awesome ties for way cheap, like those really skinny ones, but mostly the ridiculously fat ones. And the colors were great! The really choice ones look like they were barfed on. Some Elders had huge collections, we're talking 30 ties or more!! When I was in the mission office there were hundreds of beautiful ugly (does beautiful ugly make any sense?) ties hanging on the bunk bed posts, long abandoned by APs of mission's past, waiting to be proudly worn by future missionary hopefuls!

The great thing about an ugly tie collection is even if you have to wear boring suits every day cuz you're a missionary or a business man or something you can mix things up and change you're look a little. Don't wear a solid color tie! Wear a weird ugly tie to church/work/school?/the dance/family reunion/job interview next time!!! Okay, maybe not for a job interview...what the heck, do it anyways!
